Toy Library helper needed

Campsbourne Come Together operate a toy library so that mums on the Campsbourne Estate who couldn't otherwise afford toys for their children to play with can borrow them free of charge. Many of the toys are educational in nature, and most are aimed at 3-5 year olds.

Volunteers are needed:

  1. To catalogue all the educational toys
  2. To open the shop during the daytime to allow library sessions.
  3. To process all the toys through the system and clean them once returned
  4. To update the catalogue periodically.

Could you help with any or all of the above? Email Sharon for more information about what's involved and when.

Hi Sharon,
I think the toy library is a brilliant idea. I'm writing to ask if you need some games for older children? We have some lovely games from Danny and Trevy for ages 5-10. They are in good condition. If you can't use them in the library, I would be happy for you to give them away to families. Just let me know if I can pass them on to the project. We also have some beautiful books we would be happy to give. Looking forward to hearing from you.
God bless you and Campsbourne! Love Marianne x

Hello! I co-ordinate the Muswell Hill Toy Library, a registered charity based in Muswell Hill Library, Queens Avenue, N 10 3PE and am interested to hear about your proposed Toy Library. Is it to be based at Stonecroft? Is it a registered Charity? This is not just nosiness! If you are a charity I will add you to my list of local chrities that will benefit should we have to close down. Muswell Hill Library is to be renovated, and we may need temporary premises for a time, no dates known yet, AND we are being offered an even smaller room so may have to donate some of our staock..... could you please let me know address, your name, and as I said, if you are a reg. charity! I wish you well anyway! Liz Luxmore
