What's in this section?

This section of the site is where you can find out about many of the different cross-church initiatives taking place across the borough of Haringey. These are exciting projects where Christians put aside the traditional boundaries of 'my church—your church' and come together to serve God in their communities. Some have been going for a long time; others have started up quite recently; and many more will sprout up in the months and years to come, God willing.

Why should I be interested?

There are several reasons why you might find these pages useful to you...

Inspiration:

Read about what God is doing in Haringey through the lives of ordinary men and women like yourself, and be inspired to ask him what He could do through you to reach your neighbourhood for Christ.

Involvement:

Perhaps you have skills that you could use to help one of these initiatives. Perhaps God has blessed you with some free time which you could use to help them out. Maybe you would like to pray for them regularly; this would be a great encouragement to them, and a powerful way to support their work. Or you may wish to share financially with them to help the work God is doing there. You will find information on different ways you can get involved with each of the initiatives.

Insight:

Reading about the activities of these various groups should give you an idea of how vast some of the problems are which loom over the borough. Men and women all over Haringey are weighed down with many different burdens. Pray to God for more workers to go out into the community and bring to their neighbours the blessings that can only come from knowing Jesus.

Encouragement:

As you read these pages, praise God that his word is not dead in Haringey, but alive and working powerfully to transform lives! Be encouraged that God's servants are uniting to spread his good news.
